Eric Stutes, LCDC
Director of Clinical Services - Fort Worth Wellness
About Me:
Eric was raised in Bandera, Texas, where values like hard work, faith, and serving others were instilled in him early in life. Today, he brings those same values into his role as Director of Clinical Services at Fort Worth Wellness.
Eric earned his degree in Psychology from Columbia Southern University and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Before entering the behavioral health field, he served as a firefighter and EMT. In those roles, he learned how to stay steady in crisis, how to truly listen, and how to meet people in some of the hardest moments of their lives. That calm, grounded presence continues to shape the way he shows up for clients every day.
What makes Eric’s work especially meaningful is that his connection to recovery is personal. Having faced and overcome his own struggles with addiction, he understands the fear, shame, hope, and courage that come with choosing change. He believes recovery is not about perfection — it is about progress, honesty, and being willing to take the next right step.
Clients often describe Eric as direct, compassionate, and deeply invested in their success. He believes every person who walks through the doors deserves dignity, structure, and the opportunity to rebuild their life. He is passionate not only about helping individuals heal, but also about supporting families who have been impacted by addiction.
Eric leads with the belief: “The problems and needs of others provide us with the purpose for being here and to serve those who ALL are worthy of recovery.”
At Fort Worth Wellness, his mission is simple: to create a safe, respectful environment where real change is possible and where every client is reminded that they are capable of more than their past.
